Minecraft: Getting back into the swing of it

Childhood home in progress

So I’ve been on a break from Minecraft. A long one. A really long one. Lots of stuff going on in my personal life, as well as other games nipping at my ankles for attention.

But the Minecraft bug has bit me again. And bitten me hard. So I’ve been playing in secret. I started a small world for my wife and I, and we’ve been working on a project. We’re recreating my childhood home. The house I grew up in.

This picture shows the work in progress. I’m going to get the landscaping of the front and backyards completely right. But since I’m too lazy to build all my neighbor’s houses, I’m going to just do some cool builds in their areas as well. Or maybe I’ll move this map to Towncraft eventually and invite folks to come play. I haven’t decided yet.

Minecraft multiplayer session servers just came up, so I’ve got some more work to go do!
